Brandon Flowers : Crossfire

There’s a still in the street outside your window
Your keeping secrets on your pillow
Let me inside no cause for alarm
I promise tonight I wont do you harm
Yeah I promise ya babe, I won’t do ya no harm
And we’re caught up in the crossfire
Of heaven and hell
And we’re searchin for shelter
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Watching you dress as you turn down the lights
I forget all about the storm outside
Dark clouds roll their way over town
Heart and pain camepouring down
Like hail, sleet and rain yeah they’re handing it out
We’re caught up in the crossfire
Of heaven and hell
And we’re searchin for shelter
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Tell the devil that he can go back from where he came
His fiery arrows drew their beat(?) in vein
And when the hardest part is over we’ll be here
And our dreams will break the boundries of our fear
The boundries of our fear
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down
Lay your body down

Not a fan of the series, I can care less about the movie…but one thing’s for sure, they always manage to have an awesome soundtrack.
Here’s Vampire Weekend with Jonathan Low. Their contribution to the OST.
Lightspeed Champion - Madame Van Damme

Kate Nash | I Hate Seagulls
I hate seagulls
And I hate being sick
I hate burning my finger on the toaster
And I hate knits
I hate falling over
I hate grazing my knee
I hate picking off the scab a little bit too early
I hate getting toothache
I hate when it’s a piss take
I hate all the mistakes I make
I hate rude ignorant bastards
And I hate snobbery
I hate anyone who if I was serving chips wouldn’t talk to me
But..
I have a friend
With whom I like to spend
Any time I can find with
I like sleeping in your bed
I like knowing what is going on inside your head
I like taking time and I like your mind
And I like when your hand is in mine
I like getting drunk on the tunes by the beach
I like picking strawberries
I like cream teas and I like reading ghost stories
And my heart skips a beat every time that we met
It’s been a while and now your smile is almost like a memory
But then you’re back and I am fine ‘cause you’re with me and I’m in love with you
And I can’t find the words to make it sound unique
But honestly you make me strong
I can’t believe I’ve found someone this kind
I hope you’ll carry on
‘Cause you’re so nice and I’m in love with you..
My personal blog post on Kat Nash’s new album, with video and audios.

Blur’s first song in….seven years! It’s the first song the band has recorded together since 2003, and I have to say the song is classic Blur. The plodding baseline, Albarn’s drawling lolloping lyrics, a quasi-psychedelic guitar solo from Graham Coxon, undemanding hymnal patterns and charming harmonies.
Love it.
Blur - Fool’s Day
Wake up straight
Called out by the sun
On the first day of April
Out of bed
Lord, it was a plane crash
But I’m sure that I was dreaming
TV on,
Of course caffeine and signs
Of submission again
Another day
On this little island
Just a bell hangs on
Porridge done
I take my kid to school
It was the pound shop, Woolworth’s
Under bridge
Where the subway sees the daytime
And the West Way flies by
Then on my bike
Down the Ladbroke Grove
To the forthcoming dramas
The studio
And a love of all sweet music
We just can’t let go
Let go… let go.. let go… let go.. llet go
So meditate
On what we’ve all become
On a cold day in springtime
Civil War
Is what we all were born into
Raise your left hand, right, sing
Don’t capitulate
To the forces of the market place
They’re long departed
Consolidate
The love we’ve had together
On a cold day in springtime

Saw you on the corner
saw you in the park
saw you on the platform of Grand Central Station
Saw you at the racetrack
Saw you on the lawn
Saw you in the Madison Square Garden, screaming:
Who are you?
Who are you?
Saw you in the rainbow
Saw you in the dark
Saw you on the landing of the Empire State Building
Who are you?
Who are you?
New York
There are many answers
There are many points
Taken more than taker and then find them together
Who are you?
Who are you?
They said they will tell you
But I must know
Tell me you
Who are you
New York
